1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Tengwar at learningelvish.com ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Tengwar is an online language learning platform for Tolkien's Elvish languages (Quenya and Sindarin). We provide lessons, quizzes, AI-powered chat, translation tools, and other educational content.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.

4. Free and Premium Plans

The Service offers a free tier with limited access (5 lessons, daily AI message limits) and premium subscription plans with full access to all features.

5. Payments and Subscriptions

Premium subscriptions are billed through our payment provider, Creem. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges at the selected interval (monthly or yearly). You may cancel your subscription at any time, and access will continue until the end of the current billing period.

6. Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day refund policy for premium subscriptions. If you are not satisfied, contact us within 7 days of purchase for a full refund.

7. Intellectual Property

The Elvish languages (Quenya and Sindarin) were created by J.R.R. Tolkien. Tengwar is an educational platform and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Tolkien Estate or any rights holders. All original content, design, and code of the Service are owned by Tengwar.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute content from the Service
  • Use the AI features to generate harmful or abusive content

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the Elvish language content is perfectly accurate to Tolkien's original works.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tengwar shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
