Lessons for your language are grouped into chapters by difficulty — a Prologue, then Chapter I through IV. Each lesson row shows a CURRENT, UP NEXT, or DONE badge, plus stars and XP once you've completed it. Locked lessons show a LOCKED · PRO chip.
If you're learning Elvish, a course switcher lets you view Quenya, Sindarin, or Both. This changes which lessons are shown — most Elvish lessons teach both dialects together, so switching course doesn't hide content, it just changes the filter.
What a lesson actually asks you to do
Opening a lesson runs a mix of activity types depending on the content: multiple choice, typed recall with hints, matching pairs, fill-in-the-blank, sentence reordering, listen-and-type, reading comprehension, and — for Elvish — Tengwar decoding. A few activity types (pronunciation practice, free writing) are unscored by design: there's no speech grader, so pronunciation practice is a mirror to compare yourself against, not a judge.
Only the multiple-choice questions count toward XP and stars, and only when a lesson has three or more of them. Shorter taster lessons use your overall score instead, so a single miss doesn't zero out your XP.
Saving and resuming
Your place in a lesson is saved continuously, so closing the tab or reloading resumes exactly where you were. Leaving mid-lesson through the in-app back button asks you to confirm first.
If saving your result fails (a dropped connection, for example), you'll see a clear "couldn't be saved — retry" banner rather than a silent loss.
