Delete Your Account
You can delete your Tengwar account whenever you like, and you don't need to ask us first. Deleting is permanent — your progress cannot be restored afterwards — so it's worth being sure before you confirm.
From the mobile app
- Open Tengwar and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. If your account has a password you'll be asked for it; accounts created with Sign in with Apple or Google just confirm.
The account is removed immediately — there is no waiting period and no reactivation window.
By email, without the app
If you've already uninstalled the app, or you'd rather we did it, write to support@learningelvish.com from the email address on the account and ask us to delete it. We complete these requests within 30 days and email you once it's done.
What gets deleted
- Your account and sign-in details (email address, name, and password if you set one)
- Lesson progress, XP, streaks, and word-review history
- Quizzes, translations, chat messages, and anything else you created in the app
- Your subscription record and purchase history held on our side
- Leaderboard entry and referral records
Two things outlive the account. Records we're required to keep for tax and accounting — invoices for payments you actually made — are retained for as long as the law requires. And a subscription bought through the App Store or Google Play is billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so cancel it in your store account as well; deleting your Tengwar account does not cancel it for you.
