The course covers both of Tolkien's major Elvish languages:

Sindarin — the everyday language of the Elves. Spoken in Rivendell, Lothlórien, and Lindon. This is what Legolas, Arwen, and Elrond speak in the films. It sounds like Welsh — flowing, consonant-rich, musical.
